Perennial Pasture Systems invites all members, partners and friends to join us at Joel for our annual Christmas Party. We’ll kick off the day with an insightful pasture walk, looking at local management and seasonal learning, before gathering for a social dinner to celebrate the end of another busy year.

This event is a great opportunity to reflect on the season, share ideas with fellow farmers and industry supporters, and enjoy some well-earned Christmas cheer together. Whether you’ve been with PPS for many years or are new to the group, we look forward to seeing you there.

2026 PTN Sowing Program: Expressions of Interest

The Pasture Trials Network (PTN) provides independent, rigorous, and freely available forage
cultivar performance data from throughout temperate Australia to assist advisors, consultants,
and producers in making informed sowing decisions. This data supports both the MLA PTN
eTool and the Dairy Australia Forage Value Index.

PTN is seeking expressions of interest from organisations that wish to establish and execute
regionally specific trials as part of the PTN 2026 sowing program.

EOI closes on 28 November 2025.

Mixed species farm walk, Cudal

Join the NSW DPIRD’s On-Farm Carbon Advice Team for a farm walk at Cudal. The field walk looks at mixed species forage crops (forage brassicas/vetch), with a chance to inspect the Pasture Trial Network Trials.

IHSG 2025 Conference

On behalf of the International Herbage Seed Group (IHSG), TSIG are proud to be hosting the 12th International Herbage Seed Group Conference in Launceston, Tasmania in November 2025.

This biennial conference shares the latest research developments in pasture (herbage) seed research, and is a great chance to meet local and international growers, seed production researchers, agronomists and seed company representatives.

Following the conference, delegates are invited to attend a post-conference tour from 20-22 November 2025, to visit key seed production areas in Southern Mainland Australia.

PPS Annual Conference

The conference is titled “Taking Stock” and is focusing on where our region’s farms are at after a period of low sheep and wool prices followed by very dry conditions. This conference is also looking at the effect of the Perennial Pasture Systems (PPS) project on farm resilience to help get through these tough times.

PPS is looking forward to see how members can position themselves to take advantage of changing circumstances in the foreseeable future.

Seed Business 2025

Seed Business 2025 brought together almost 300 participants from across Australia and New Zealand for four action-packed days, marking the inaugural joint trans-Tasman convention for the seed industry. From expert panels and keynote addresses to field tours and plenty of networking, the energy and enthusiasm made it clear: this one was a hit.
